What is the purpose of the Hawkins PTO?
The Hawkins PTO is a non-profit organization that contributes to our school through volunteer and financial assistance. Specifically, we provide classroom support and enrichment programs in STEAM, special events, teacher appreciation, and opportunities for parents to be active in the school. We also serve as a liaison between administration and parents. See the overview presentation shared at Curriculum Night.
Who can join the PTO?
Every Hawkins parent and teacher is automatically a member of the PTO! You do not have to formally join the organization. Everyone is welcome to attend meetings, make suggestions, volunteer for events, and participate in whatever way works for you. We do not charge dues. If you are interested in being on the leadership team, please see the below section on PTO Board Elections.
What opportunities are there for getting involved?

Stay Informed: Meetings and Minutes
How do I get involved? The PTO holds meetings throughout the year. Everyone is welcome to attend. At these meetings, we discuss items such as: event planning details from Committee Chairs; requests from teachers to purchase materials or support classroom projects with PTO funds; updates from the school Principal; and ideas for new programs.
